due to the extended Christmas creating a 4 day weekend i would like a quick poll on who would attend a lan on the monday night (26th)

My housewarming LAN!
Come enjoy some (many) beverages whilst playing computer games. What could possibly go wrong!
Please bring:
- Meat for BBQ dinner
- Beer for me
- Computer
- Network/Power/Diplomatic cables
- Power board (games)
- Cards with 500 and Magic contained within them
If you have any tables you can bring so people actually have a place to put their computers on something please let me know.
When: 6pm, 30/09/2011

Those attending this week:
I know there already is a Hockey thread, but i was told that that one was old, and that i should start this new one, as i a now in charge of organizing it. I will update this thread to let you peeps know whether hockey is or is not on each week, and also, if it is on, a list of the people who have said they will be coming this time (screen-names will be used in the list to respect privacy and security). The reason for this list is that we have decided that we shall not hold hockey unless at least ten people are on the list. Contact me each week to have your name added to the list, else later in the week, if we need more names i'll contact you. You of course are still welcome to come even if your name is not on the list.
If there is anything i have forgotten to say, or anything, remind me below and i will add it. Feel free to discuss Saturday Hockey related stuff below.

Sadly due to spammers and my lack of interest continuously deleting them, I'm closing sifnt registrations permanently.
This doesn't mean new users can't join, just get them to email me or another member and I'll make sure they get access to all the old school goodies available here, but no more user-initiated signups.
Although clearly replaced by social networking sites for the most part, which will no doubt themselves be replaced at some point, sifnt isn't going anywhere as long as I'm around so have no fear of that

Just a suggestion that links in forum posts be forced to open in a new tab instead of loading in the same one so you have to go back or making you manually open the link in a new tab.

Only just seen this since I can't seem to access sifnt.net.au at home anymore due to a router glitch of some sort (posting via vpn to my work pc). I can ping www.sifnt.net.au fine but can't get any pages to load, don't know what's up wit dat.

In an effort to stem the spam sifnt has received lately I've made it so that all new users (Which actually includes all users that aren't in another group, period) will require mod approval before their post shows up.
If your posts proves you are human and not a spammer, it'll get approved and you'll be moved to an 'Approved users' group which means you'll be able to once again freely post.
